Our proposal “Into the Vines” wins the competition organized by Kefraya Winery for the construction of an Immersive Boutique Hotel in the Bekaa Valley. The history of the site with its archeological remains is transcribed through the architecture of the project. Our proposal emerges from the ground mirroring the magnificent landscape and celebrating the rich ‘terroir’ of this land.
After the international success of the Wonderlab exhibition in Japan, our atelier stages the works of 15 French and Chinese Living National Treasures in a new exhibition taking place in January 2019 in the National Museum of Pekin in China.

Celebrating « Japonisme 2018 »: 160 years of French-Japanese friendship, our Atelier has been selected to design the exhibition ‘Wazanowa’, in Arita the birthplace of ceramics. A journey that will shed light on the exceptional work of both Japanese and French National Treasures.
Lina Ghotmeh is invited as guest of honor at the inauguration. At this occasion, she will give a lecture exposing the explored relationship between architecture and tradition.

Lina Ghotmeh participates as jury of the Selection Committee “C40 Reinventing Cities Montréal”. C40 is focused on tackling climate change and driving urban action that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and climate risks, while increasing the health, wellbeing and economic opportunities of urban citizens.
Reflecting on her practice, Lina Ghotmeh will conference on September 27th for ARCHITECT@WORK at the Paris Event Center on “The nature of the future: architecture of the environment”.
As in an archeological dig, each project unveils buried stories in the soil in which they are implanted. Museum or object, memory dialogs with matter to emerge the originality of all creation.
