Unveiling. Serpentine Pavilion

We are delighted to announce the public opening of the 22nd Serpentine Pavilion 2023.

Inspired by Lina Ghotmeh’s Mediterranean heritage and fervent discussions around the table over news, politics, personal lives, and dreams, the Pavilion is titled "À table" – a French call to sit down together at the table to engage in dialogue while sharing a meal. As such, the interior of the Pavilion features a concentric table along the perimeter, inviting us to come together, sit down, think, share and celebrate, enabling new relationships to form.

Opening. Ateliers Hermès

Lina Ghotmeh — Architecture is proud to announce the opening of its project designed and realized for Hermès.

Offering an architecture that extends the surrounding landscape, this building is made with the highest ecological ambitions. It constitutes a real technical and architectural feat: to date, it is the first industrial building to benefit from the E4C2 label. A low carbon, energy positive, passive building. With her atelier, Lina Ghotmeh designed a structure in wood and structural bricks with more than 500,000 bricks, produced 70 kilometers from Louviers in order to minimize the carbon impact of construction while promoting the artisanal know-how of Norman brickmakers.

Publication. Imagining the Future Museum

Lina Ghotmeh is a contributor to the book Imagining 'The Future Museum' by András Szántó. The book gathers 21 dialogues with visionary architects from all over the world about the kind of "material" that the art institution of tomorrow will need. These interviews tend to paint a composite portrait of the institution; of a generation of architects working to make the museum more flexible, porous, human-centered, culturally sensitive, digitally amplified, and respectful of the environment.

Dialogues include David Adjaye, Elizabeth Diller, David Chipperfield, Frida Escobedo.

Construction.

Construction. "Actes Précis " Normandy

The construction is almost complete of the first passive and low carbon manufacture building in France. Conceived for Hermès workshops, we are constructing this project with artisanal bricks from local earth. This architecture advocates for the use of local material in order to reduce the building’s carbon footprints and to revive brick masonry craftsmanship & know-hows.
