Award. Opal Award, Hermès Workshops.
We are delighted and honored that our Hermès Workshops project has won the Opal Award in the Architectural Design / Historical category. Based in London, the Opal Award recognizes excellence in design and creativity in the built environment.
This project was born of an ambition to design the first low carbon energy positive building in France with a reflection on the history and values of Hermès. Craftsmanship was both a starting and end point for the project: it was unravelled with our research into the history of the site, its local resources, the particularities of this environment, the soil of the place with its damp, clayey earth, ready to be molded into bricks.
