Beirut Village - Apartment Complex

The Lebanese capital, Beirut, is a dense urban metropolis, a hub of cultural and social events, but it is increasingly lacking open green spaces. “Beirut Village” is a new urban development on the outskirts of Beirut city in Hazmieh. This project promotes a generous connection to greenery, situated next to a vast park, offering an environmental quality rare in the capital.

Our proposal is situated on Block 11 of this residential development, and further celebrates the verdant possibilities of the project, by introducing a garden at the center of the building, which rises over its surfaces, integral to the complex. Thanks to the building’s sinuous structure, all of the apartments offer a view overlooking the park and the city. This diverse range of relationships between habitation and nature strengthen the connection between residents and the site. The building thusly offers a unique and personal experience to each of its tenants, offering them an “identifiable” home.
